Coming off of his Big Cat Weekend visit, 4-star Weakside Defensive End prospect Ashley Williams flips his commitment from Nebraska to Auburn in the latest recruiting boon for Auburn Football and Head Coach Bryan Harsin.
Those with their ears to the ground had been expecting a stampede of recruiting commitments following Auburn Football’s Big Cat Weekend. The blowout recruiting weekend hosted on Auburn’s campus did provide a bit of buzz with two 2024 commits, but not quite the earth-shaking rumble that message boards had led many to believe. Not until a huge domino fell 5 days later.
That’s when Ashley L Williams officially flipped from Nebraska and committed to Auburn Football as a member of the 2023 class. The flip brings the 2023 class to 6 total recruits with a Rivals helps bolster the 2023 class by adding another player in a critical area of need: edge rusher.
It doesn’t matter if it’s 3, 4, or 5 (stars). As long as you’re filling needs with guys who you can develop, that’s what we need.
