The entirety of the Auburn fanbase looks to the future after a steady decline of the on-field product forced Auburn to pull the plug on the Harsin era and hit restart on the Auburn Football Program.
What had been brewing for the entirety of 2022 finally bubbled over earlier this week as Bryan Harsin was fired as Auburn’s head football coach. Most of the assistant coaches he brought in from his previous stops have been relieved of their duties as well.
There’s no question that the team’s on-field performance warranted this result. The lull in recruiting from 2022’s February signing day through the transfer portal season between Spring and Fall camps was alarming. The only force strong enough to pull Harsin’s feet out of the fire? Wins. Those wins never came.
That post-bye week performance was so damning that “You can’t do this job here.” Not under these circumstances. Not here. It’s not working.
