Spring ball starts today and many questions are looming about the first year under this staff. From the Quarterback position to play calling tendencies, everything is under a microscope for Coach Freeze. He’s talked about trying to build the foundation in year one, so let’s look at what that entails.

Words don’t mean anything without actions. Hugh Freeze’s actions since getting the job include, building up the running back room, rebuilding the offensive line, and stocking the defense. His actions show that he is trying to accelerate the process of success which is something that was never coming under the last staff.
This isn’t Ole Miss. The bar is set high. A large contingent of Auburn fans are expecting 8 wins next season. It’s possible for Hugh Freeze to meet that 8 win threshold, especially if he is able to land another QB (or develop) a QB that thrives in his system. Time will tell how the rest of the offseason progresses but this spring will be a great indicator of where Auburn is at, and where it needs to be.
