A hellish week 3 bleeds into week 4 as the loss to Penn St results in more upheaval for the QB Room, Bryan Harsin, and the confidence of the Auburn fanbase.
Following the most disappointing loss of his tenure as the head coach of Auburn Football, Bryan Harsin faced some additional scrutiny this week over how he’s handled information about the injuries of multiple QBs. After remarking that both TJ Finley and Robby Ashford were “good” going into week 4, followed up by noting that Zach Calzada was still “competing” for opportunities at QB, news broke that not only is TJ Finley out this week with a shoulder injury, but Zach Calzada has apparently opted to undergo season ending shoulder surgery as well.
The stark contrast between the information Harsin provided and the news that followed has fans upset. Now the news that what could have been a viable option at QB is now out of the picture has fans even more worried. With SEC play approaching and a disappointing showing against their first P5 opponent, the QB position seems more unsettled than ever, and the fanbase is just as unsettled.
I always thought that there was something going on with Zach. (…) Even in fall camp when people were asking ‘Hey, is he not picking up the offense?’ (…) I think this decision to shut it down proves that.

What can we make of the injury news this week? Is Calzada being out of the picture this season the biggest loss of all this week? Is it a good or a bad thing that Holden Geriner is going to see the field in real action his true freshman year?
