With the 2022 college football season one-fourths complete, let’s take a look at the SEC power rankings going into week 4.
Week 4 Power Rankings
- Georgia
- Alabama
- Tennessee
- Arkansas
- Kentucky
- Ole Miss
- Texas A&M
- Florida
- LSU
- Mississippi State
- Auburn
- South Carolina
- Missouri
- Vanderbilt
Although Arkansas and Tennessee are both undefeated at this point, Tennessee has the most impressive win of the two programs and has been dominant against inferior opponents. Meanwhile, Arkansas has beaten not-so-good South Carolina, and struggled against Missouri State last weekend. Despite being undefeated, the Razorbacks are trending downward and have swapped places with Tennessee going into week 4.
After a tough loss at home to Appalachian State, Texas A&M bounced back a week later and defeated Miami at Kyle Field 17-9. There are still some issues with the offense, despite breaking in Max Johnson as the new starting quarterback. The good news is that the Aggies will enter SEC 2-1 and will have a chance to make a big statement against Arkansas this upcoming week.
Unfortunately, we MUST talk about the Auburn Tigers. Auburn got flat out embarrassed, at home, in what was supposed to be a revenge game against Penn State. And now questions about Bryan Harsin’s job security have resurfaced as a result. This is a team that desperately needs to get back on track this weekend against Missouri to close out the month of September. Until Auburn can prove that it’s heading in the right direction, they’ll need to make themselves comfortable near the bottom of the SEC for now.
