Who will lead the Tigers in the receiving game in different counting stats for 2023?
It’s easy to make assumptions about who will lead the Tigers in passing. It will either be Payton Thorne or Robby Ashford. Whoever wins the QB battle will be the leader in passing. So, that is more of a bet on who ones predicts as the starter. However, it is much more difficult to predict who will be catching their passes.
I think Jay Fair won’t have a single drop next season

Regardless of who the QB1 is, trying to pick a leader for the receiving stats is no easy proposition. The first stat to be looked at is receptions. Freeze and company have shown a tendency to utilize check downs, but, it won’t be a running back. Fairweather is a big body tight end who can create massive yards per reception numbers. However, he won’t get as many receptions as the team leader, who will be Jay Fair. He’s a twitchy receiver who can slide right through the middle of the field, or turn it up from outside the numbers.
Another big question surrounding the offense is, “Will Auburn see a one thousand yard receiver?” This is something no Auburn WR has done since Ronny Daniels. Last year, Koy Moore seemed to think there was a chance. Lucky for Tiger fans, Camden Brown is more than capable of raking in well over a thousand yards. Not only will he lead the Tigers in yards he will also be top five in the SEC.
