With a slew of new additions at skill positions, there’s renewed excitement about what Auburn Football could be in 2023. But with so many new players, the question should be asked: Who are going to be our biggest playmakers?
There’s been a talent influx for Auburn Football, and it’s got fans salivating over what the 2023 Auburn offense will look like. With big bodies at WR, an athletic pass-catcher at TE, a yard-eating speedster at RB, and a returning QB with big play ability, the options seem endless for this offense with an overhauled offensive line. But opportunities aren’t endless. With so many options, who will be the biggest playmakers be in 2023?
Jarquez hunter is already a dependable force in the backfield, and he’ll now share the room with a 1000+ RB in Brian Battie. Landen King opted to come back to Auburn instead of bolting, and he joins Camden Brown, Nick Mardner, and TE Rivaldo Fairweather as pass-catching targets 6’3″ or taller. It seems almost too easy to predict that there’ll be at least one standout performer from that group.
I think that Jay Fair might be someone that people are sleeping on. He works hard, he’s smart, he does everything that’s asked of him. […] I think he has a chance in Hugh Freeze’s offense to be that 864-to-1000 yard receiver.

The incoming players will be most present in the mind of fans because they offer the most intrigue, but could the biggest difference maker be a roster holdover? Could Rivaldo Fairweather continue the TE production that Hugh Freeze likes? Or will Jarquez Hunter meet the expectations as the all-world bell cow RB that his first two years on the plains suggest he could become?
