It was a sad night on on the Plains as the Auburn faithful watched their beloved football program fall to an unimaginable low.
The Auburn Tigers fell to Kentucky, 10-3, at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday night in front of the 20th consecutive sold out crowd. The Tigers managed just three points against the No. 14 scoring defense in the SEC, becoming Kentucky’s first SEC win of the season. Auburn fell to 2-10 against Power Four opponents at home under head coach Hugh Freeze’s guidance.
Auburn totaled just 241 yards of offense in 72 plays. Between quarterback shuffling, the Tigers tossed it for just 123 yards of through the air. They ran for 118 yards.
Meanwhile, the Tigers’ defense did what it has done all season and kept Kentucky well below their scoring average per game (24.1). They held Kentucky to 240 yards of offense, 169 through the air and just 79 on the ground. The Tigers are one of the three teams in the FBS that have not allowed more then 24 points this season (Ohio State and Indiana).
