In a move that has shocked quite a few fans in the Auburn Football community, Former #1 JUCO Transfer into Auburn just one season ago, Jeffrey M’Ba announces his intent to transfer from Auburn.
M’Ba, nicknamed Thanos, came into the Plains with high expectations. His physical presence and the nickname were enough to speculate that he may be a menace on the defensive front. However, he never seemed to be able to crack the rotation last season. With the firing of Coach Bryan Harsin, his connection to the program seemed to dip. Soon after the season, he posted some cryptic (now deleted) social media posts that seemed to indicate he was headed elsewhere.
Expectations remained high for him coming into his second season after he reaffirmed his intent to stay in Auburn. However, after a few additions to the defensive front from the portal and the heavy emphasis on lineman in the new freshman class, M’Ba became a solid rotational piece rather than an entrenched stalwart.
I wonder if M’Ba thought that they didn’t think as highly of him and were willing to put him on the field as much as he wanted to be on the field and said, “Ok, I find somebody else to put me on the field as much as I want to be on the field.”

The disappointing showing during the Spring A-Day game by the defensive line makes it feel like Auburn Football can ill-afford to lose a talented lineman. However, M’Ba puts Auburn in that very position with his announcement.
