The final four players in Auburn’s PFF Countdown are here, and these Tigers are the ones most likely to swing games in 2025. From offensive line depth to defensive superstars, this is the cream of the crop.
#4 – Tyler Johnson, OT (SOPHOMORE)
Johnson only played 92 snaps last season, but when he did, he graded 78.3 overall and an impressive 87.3 as a run blocker. At 6’6”, 332 pounds, Johnson has the size and athleticism to hold down tackle if called upon. Pass protection is his biggest hurdle, but Auburn will count on him as a swing option if injuries hit.
#3 – James Ash, DL ( Transfer – Florida A&M)
Ash brings SEC-ready size and production from Florida A&M. He logged 590 snaps last year with an 82.8 run-defense grade, proving he can anchor the middle. At 6’3”, 302 pounds, Ash is built to eat blocks and keep Auburn’s linebackers free. With Auburn’s depth, he won’t have to carry the same heavy snap load he did at FAMU, which should make him even more effective.
#2 – Champ Anthony, CB (JUNIOR)
Anthony’s 2024 was cut short by injury, but in limited snaps he was lights out, posting an 80.9 overall grade and 81.4 in coverage. Known for his physical style and ability to make plays on the ball, Anthony adds another high-level corner to Auburn’s already loaded secondary. A healthy Champ Anthony gives Auburn a legitimate shutdown option opposite Jay Crawford.
#1 – Keldric Faulk, DL (JUNIOR)
The clear No. 1 is Keldric Faulk. The sophomore edge rusher was Auburn’s most disruptive defender in 2024, grading 83.8 overall with nine sacks, 45 pressures, and 35 tackles. Even while battling injuries and fatigue, Faulk dominated, finishing with an 80.2 grade against Alabama. With better depth around him in 2025, Faulk could be fresher late in the year and push for All-American status.
