Your Saturday morning preview of Auburn’s matchup
There is no reason to overcomplicate anything this evening. Auburn is a substantial favorite due to the sheer talent gap between them and the Bulldogs.
In a game where it doesn’t take much to win, expect Jarquez to get limited touches to keep him healthy. The run game will be the majority of the offense but it’ll be through Damari and Jeremiah and possibly some packages for Sean Jackson.
The question of how the play action game will look is the one fans want to know the answer to. Tonight won’t prove or disprove anything we’ve said all offseason, but it will show where Thorne is with the receivers as far as continuity.
Defensively both Keionte Scott and Austin Keys have been banged up during fall camp. They are expected to play but under a snap limit, those two are pivotal to Durkin’s defense this year, no reason to hurt them in a cupcake game.
While he has been making progress, Alex McPherson still isn’t ready to go. Towns Mcgough will be the starting kicker tonight.
After a slow start, Auburn will get it flowing and blow the Bulldogs out, 56-10.
