The War Rapport’s countdown of Auburn’s top 40 players—powered by PFF’s 2024 grades—continues with four players expected to play key roles in the upcoming 2025 season. From transfers to returning veterans, this list showcases guys Auburn fans should keep an eye on. We have already done 40-37 and 36-33.
#32: Jackson Arnold, QB (Transfer – Oklahoma)
All eyes are on Jackson Arnold, the Oklahoma transfer expected to take over as Auburn’s starting QB. Despite a rocky 2024 (63.2 overall PFF grade), Arnold flashed athleticism and toughness. His 10 fumbles last season are a major concern, but he faced relentless pressure behind one of the nation’s worst rated offensive lines at Oklahoma. With better protection at Auburn, he’ll get a fresh shot to prove himself.
#31: Keyron Crawford, Buck (Senior)
Keyron Crawford is in a pivotal “money year” at Auburn. As the likely starter at the Buck position, he posted a 63.5 overall PFF grade with 21 hurries, 4 hits, and 1 sack last season. However, his tackling—especially in games vs. Cal and Arkansas—needs improvement. This is his shot to step into the spotlight and attract NFL interest.
#30: Jeremiah Wright, OL (Senior)
Wright is one of Auburn’s most experienced linemen and a projected starter at right guard. He posted a 64.0 PFF grade, including a 73.3 in pass protection, but had some rough games against Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Now in his final season, the 6’5”, 337-pound mauler will play a vital role in protecting Jackson Arnold and anchoring the offensive front.
#29: Perry Thompson, WR (Sophomore)
Highly-touted sophomore Perry Thompson didn’t see much action in 2024 (100 snaps), but he enters this season with big expectations. He posted a 64.3 PFF grade with just 5 catches and 1 drop. At 6’3″, 217 lbs, Thompson has the tools to be a strong WR2 of the future behind Cam Coleman. He’ll need to polish his route adjustments in Auburn’s RPO-heavy offense, but the talent is undeniable.
