Despite scoring most of his points in the first half, Broome’s presence in the paint forced double teams that opened up Auburn’s perimeter shooters. Late in the game, a technical foul on Ole Miss head coach Chris Beard allowed Auburn to put the game out of reach. The Rebels’ missed 11 free throws, which proved costly in their double-digit loss.
