The Tigers throttled the Indiana Hoosiers Saturday afternoon
Blue Blood. Not a New Blood, not a Baby Blood, Auburn basketball is a Blue Blood Program. This team went and trounced Indiana 104-76 in Atlanta with Johni Broome only scoring two points. Aden Holloway bounced back from his recent slump and Jaylin Williams was finally the aggressor on offense.
“This Auburn team is deep, they can run the floor with anybody, protect the premier and the interior, and can generate scoring from all five positions. A dangerous team when the month of March comes around.”
-Elliott Huckaby
Bruce Pearl overwhelmed Mike Woodson all night long, this game meant a lot to Bruce from his success at Southern Indiana and being a former colleague of Mike. What was expected to be a tough interior battle between Johni Broome and Kel’el Ware, instead, turned to three point shootout.
Aden and Jaylin both accounted for 24 points respectively and rejuvenated excitement in the Auburn fan base. As the SEC race becomes more murky by the day, Auburn is simmering just below the title of best team in the conference.
