After a 38-24 win over Baylor to open the season, the Auburn Tigers return home on Saturday for Kickoff on The Plains against Ball State.
With Auburn looking to stay undefeated against Ball State, and sure up some miscues made in Week 1, here’s some final thoughts from some of our staff, with score predictions and analysis:
Logan Fowler: Auburn 54-6
“Simply put, Ball State is not expected to be very good this season and its 31-0 loss to Purdue last week didn’t inspire any hope.
“This is a great opportunity for Auburn to clean up some miscues from Week 1 and get some freshmen in on the action. Look for Auburn to air it out more than it did against Baylor and offer a glimpse of what the offense can look like at full throttle. If Auburn takes care of business and avoids injuries, it will be a successful day at the office.”
Ike Jones: Auburn 70-6
“Listen, I know 70 is a lot but I eally don’t see how Auburn does not run the score up in this game. Ball State struggled to stop the run. This could get ugly, quickly.
“Last season, against an ovematched opponent, the Tigers put up a big number. They scored 31 offensive points last week versus Baylor. I expect double that amount, easily. Plus, I expect the defense to play with a passion this week to redeem last week’s performance, which will result in more possessions. Expect the Tigers by a LOT.”
