After a dominant first-half showing that saw Auburn shoot out to a 10-0 lead after its first three offensive drives, the Tigers’ offense sputtered in the final half of play and lost its third consecutive game of the season to No. 10 Georgia, 20-10, in Jordan-Hare Stadium on Saturday.
After totaling 237 yards of offense in the first half, Auburn amassed just 40 yards of offense in the second. Meanwhile, Georgia turned its first half mark of 78 total yards in to 218 in the second.
It was another night of agony for Auburn fans who watched their beloved Tigers miss on ample opportunity to steal another win against a top 10 team. Auburn is now 3-3 overall and 0-3 in SEC play, marking the third straight 0-3 start in SEC play for the first time in program history.
