5 star receiver flips from Alabama to the Auburn Tigers
After a staff wide push over the past month, Hugh Freeze and his staff flipped their second 5 star this week. At one of the biggest Big Cat Weekends in history, featuring multiple 5 stars, Perry Thompson flipped his commitment from Alabama to Auburn.

Days after 5 star linebacker, Demarcus Riddick flipped from Georgia to Auburn, Auburn was rocking with their Big Cat weekend. Aside from Thompson, 5-star Safety K.J. Bolden was also in attendance. He is set to commit on August 5th, although Ohio State and Alabama have pushed heavily for him, Auburn is the current favorite for the composite 5 star.
The flip of Thompson has dropped Alabama to number 22 in the 2024 recruiting rankings, and it has raised Auburn to number 24. The tide is turning in College Football, and Auburn is on the right side of it.
