The Auburn Tigers suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Oklahoma on Saturday at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, 24-17.
The Tigers were plagued by 13 penalties for 85 yards, an array of missed opportunities and allowed a whopping 10 sacks, which was a school record for Oklahoma.

Miscellaneous
– For Auburn, Saturday was the first trip in program history to the state of Oklahoma, and the fourth time suiting up against the Sooners. Auburn has yet to walk away victorious against them.
– Oklahoma marked the 13th different opponent Auburn has opened up SEC play with.
– The Tigers are still searching for their first SEC opening win since 2022. Auburn fell to 9-12-1 when opening conference play versus a ranked team.
– Auburn hasn’t won a ranked game on the road since the 2019 season against Arkansas, 51-10. It will have another crack at breaking the drought this upcoming Saturday against No. 9 Texas A&M in College Station.
Game Specifics
– There were three Tigers that made their first start in orange and blue against Oklahoma: Rayshawn Pleasant, Horatio Fields and Kensley Louidor-Faustin. It was the first career start for the latter.
– Auburn has scored in 158 consecutive games, dating back to the 2013 season.
– The Tigers have not allowed a first quarter touchdown all season.
– Auburn was 3-for-3 in the red zone, improving to 12-of-12 on the season. That mark ties the Tigers for first in the nation in red zone offense.
– Auburn is just two rushing touchdowns (11) away from matching its 2024 season total.
– Auburn’s defense held Oklahoma to 32 yards on the ground. It marks the fewest rushing yards allowed to an SEC opponent for Auburn since holding Mississippi State to 13 yards rushing in 2022.
– Wide receiver Eric Singleton Jr. extended his catch streak to 28 games, which is every game of his collegiate career. He had nine catches against the Sooners which was a career high.
– Cam Coleman extended his catch streak to 10 games. His 46-yard reception in the first quarter was the longest by an Auburn receiver this season.
– Coleman reached 10 touchdowns on Saturday in 15 career games, tying for the second fewest games (Darvin Adams & Phillip Lutzenkirchen) needed for an Auburn player since 2000 behind only Ronny Daniels (12 games).
– Keyron Crawford’s fumble recovery in the second quarter was the second straight week with a takeaway.
– Xavier Atkins set a career high with seven tackles.
– Robert Woodyard Jr. tied a career high with five tackles.
– Rayshawn Pleasant recorded six tackles, setting a season high and the most in his Auburn career.
– Bobby Jamison-Travis record four tackles, tying his career high.
– Auburn has converted on 171 consecutive PATs dating back to the second kick of the 2021 season.
