Mixed Feelings on a Mixed Performance

Whether they’re ready or not, it’s time to see who Auburn Football really is.

Auburn Football needs a comeback to beat San Jose St, and the fanbase needs a tangible reason to look forward to the rest of the season as the toughest schedule in the nation looms ahead.

Auburn Football finished Week 2 of the regular season with an uninspiring 24-16 win over San Jose St, and the lows of the performance have the Auburn fanbase worrying that this team may not be ready for primetime. With both QBs throwing INTs, penalties on both sides of the ball, and major passing yards given up, those worries are very much valid.

TJ looked better after he threw the INT. Came back in 2nd half…different dude, right? He’s coming along. He’s improving in real time. We’re watching him improve in real time. But we’re out of time. So how much longer until he’s the guy that doesn’t have to apologize for making the bad throw on the right read, he just makes the right throw?

The guys have been split on who is the right QB to play and how much leash each QB should have, but the San Jose St game was a sobering display. Does Auburn have the potential the guys expected before the season started? Is there a competent QB on the roster right now? If so, how long do you give the players before you pull them?
