Hugh Freeze has emphasized the importance of the trenches playing in the SEC, and shows his displays to that philosophy as he continues to build depth in the trenches with Auburn Football two weekend defensive line commitments from Power 5 transfers.
Two of those signees – Mosiah Nasili-Kite and Lawrence Johnson – are defensive linemen, which was an area of need after a combination of graduation and NFL declarations thinned out the room after the 2022 season. Combined with the returning experience, redshirt freshmen, and incoming freshmen, that group appears to be bolstered to a level befitting a competitive SEC defense.
This is going to be one of the most anticipated – probably one of the most attended – Spring practices that we’ve seen at Auburn in quite some time.

This new Auburn staff has done a tremendous job of filling needs in short order between high school, JUCO, and transfer additions. What can we expect for this collection of DL talent? Will we see any additional additions? What does the amount of talent mean for Spring practice and A-Day?
