Auburn Claims Nine National Championships

Auburn fans, it’s official — we’re hanging nine banners now. Auburn University has updated its football history and is officially claiming national championships for the following seasons: 1910, 1913, 1914, 1957, 1958, 1983, 1993, 2004, and 2010.

Now, I know what you’re thinking… and yeah, I’ve spent years roasting Alabama for doing this exact same thing. I’ve cracked jokes about Bama hanging banners for “Best Team in the Southeast According to a Random Newspaper in 1926.” I’ve laughed at their math, their history, and their obsession with inflating the trophy case.

But let me tell you right now: I am perfectly fine being a hypocrite here.

Why? Because Auburn has a real case for these titles. We’re not reaching here. Go look back at 1913, 1983, 1993, and 2004 — undefeated seasons, powerhouse teams, and respected selectors who crowned Auburn as the best in the country. These aren’t make-believe championships; they’re part of our history, and we’re finally putting them on the wall where they belong.

And let’s be real… this is going to drive Alabama fans absolutely insane. And I am here for every second of it. They’ve spent decades weaponizing their “18 national championships” argument against us. Now, Auburn gets to roll into the conversation with nine of our own, and you better believe it’s going to ruffle some crimson feathers.

Call me petty. Call me hypocritical. I don’t care. Auburn deserves the recognition, and if it happens to make things a little more uncomfortable in Tuscaloosa? Well… War Eagle.

Nine-time national champions. Let that sink in.

Now, the question that needs to be asked: Can Hugh Freeze at to the trophy case?
