In the slowest portion of the offseason, content has to come from somewhere. Therefore, it is time for LISTS! PFF released just that, a power ranking that makes Big Game Boomer look like a genius. There are quite a few head-scratching spots on the list.
When Graham Mertz is your Quarterback you are automatically bottom half of the league.

The official list from PFF came in as such:
Georgia
Alabama
LSU
Tennessee
Arkansas
Kentucky
Florida
South Carolina
Mississippi State
Texas A&M
Missouri
Ole Miss
Auburn
Vanderbilt
The 5-7 spots belong in the basement of the league, they are being overvalued off of recruiting rather than on-field production. Florida, for instance, is coming off of a bad season, lost their Quarterback to the draft (and are relying on Graham Mertz to be his replacement), and is playing one of the most difficult schedules in the country. Somehow, they are rated 7th.
Auburn, A&M, and South Carolina are all too low on the list. Auburn will not finish in last place in the SEC West. Texas A&M still has a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and a new Offensive Coordinator that will get their offense in gear. Lastly, South Carolina is one of these teams that I expect to surprise some people in the SEC East. One of the few correct evaluations on the list was Ole Miss. They are still broke. They are definitely still ugly. Ultimately, they are still sorry.
