Allen Flanigan is Still an Auburn Tiger, For Now

With the draft declaration deadline passed, Allen Flanigan is still a Tiger…for now.

The deadline to declare for the NBA draft was April 23rd at Midnight. That date and time has come and gone and there has been no announcement of a declaration from Allen Flanigan. So, Allen Flanigan is still an Tiger, for now.

The question from Auburn Basketball fans is, “Will he elect to return for his 5th year or will be transfer?” The possibility of him leaving Auburn to go play for his dad, at Ole Miss, is still out there. He does not have to declare for the draft to play overseas. He still has time to decide what is best for his future.

For me, I lean heavily in the direction of one or both of them (Jaylin Williams and Allen Flanigan) returning to Auburn next season.

From reports, Allen Flanigan has not been working out with the team. This would seem to indicate that his intent would be to take the professional route. His name remaining on the official roster does make it seem like he has had some sort of conversation with the staff and they are giving him space to decide. The time will come, very soon, when that decision will be needed so that both he and the program can move forward.
